I love learning. I love acquiring knowledge and knowing more and more, and the feeling that comes along with understanding something. There's really no limit to all the things you could learn, the complexity of everything is so interesting. I love all of the options that come with knowledge. All of the opportunities to use it, all the different types to acquire. Knowledge knows no limits. Everything learned is new and interesting, expanding what you know, making you intelligent. Using the knowledge I have personally makes me feel semi intelligent and it's a really good feeling.
What I do not like is when I'm deemed unintelligent if I do not know something or if I was wrongly informed. Being wrong is a really ugly feeling.
School is a great place that helps you acquire all this cool new knowledge that you will possibly need later in life.
Sitting in classes with people like you, being taught all these new things, gaining more of an understanding and getting a better idea of how much there really is to know. What isn't great, is the evaluation. I understand that we do have to be tested so that teachers can see if we are caught up and know everything we need to move on, but it takes the fun out of learning. The stress of trying to remember stuff feels like it makes it even harder to remember. The evaluations make you second guess your own intelligence and make you quite afraid of being wrong, because grades are important for moving on to more and more knowledge, if you prove yourself worthy of it.
Imagine a world where we could all sit in classes and actually soak up all of the information given to us, without stressing about having to remember it. Learning without all of these strings attached? Yes please. Those who are actually willing to learn would have it so easy. It's doubtful that we would have a very intelligent society considering how many people would use the lack of testing to completely slack off, but that leads me to wonder whether or not people who would normally abuse the privilege would realize that the only people they are affecting is themselves. They wouldn't have teachers and parents and everybody constantly hounding them to try. Would they then try?
