Because of the amount of time spent at school, over time it should feel like a second home; a sort of sanctuary. So why doesn't it? Well let's see. High school is hated for many various reasons, some can be changed to be made better and some we'll just have to suffer through. The cause of a lot of the changeable reasons are because of media. All though media and internet have their perks, they also have major faults. Not only do they have large possibilities of leading students to false or biased information for school projects or such, but it largely affects the way some THINK or ACT. Media creates stigma and promotes discrimination labeling some people differently than others. Media also sets semi ridiculous guidelines that people are pressured to fit to, and it influences the way people judge other people. These guidelines consist of the newest clothing, the nicest hair, these perfect but unrealistic bodies, etc. Those who have difficulties achieving their desired place on these guide lines will feel as though those around them are judging them. This is certainly not a positive feeling and sadly most of the time this can be the case. This is a way media very largely factors on why students seem to repel the thought of going the school, part of why they don't find it to be a good place.
